This is it

This is it - The Great American Road Trip, well our version anyway. From NY to LA and a few places in between, the next 56 days will be spent covering 12,000 miles of interstate.

We are checked in and looking forward to the quick hop across the Pacific. A short stop in LA and another 5 hours in the air should see us a world away in down town New York. We have 2 nights in Brooklyn to acclimatise before the London contingent arrives and we move the party to Times Square.

For now we are sitting in the Brisbane International Terminal hitting the crosswords hard. Here's hoping the sleeping tabs do the trick and we can get a bit of shut eye in the next 13 hours.
